Before you start
A tiny dab of something tasty behind the top teeth shows the tongue where to go.
Tongue tip up, behind the top teeth. Hold it there for five.
Keep it there and turn the voice on: lll.
Now sing it: la, la, la, with the tongue tip going up each time.
One
4 steps. Listen to them, or use the arrows to go at your own pace.
The tongue rises
It leaves the floor of the mouth and lifts up.
The tip touches
It rests just behind the top teeth, and stays there.
The air rises
It comes up from the throat and meets the tongue in the middle.
And goes out the sides
It doesn't push the tongue: it goes around it, out both sides of the mouth.
Two
The same mouth, syllable by syllable and up close: this is the model they'll copy in the mirror.
